Children' Data Book
The Annual Santa Clara County Children’s Data Book is a trusted resource that provides intersectional data on youth well-being across health, basic needs, education, and life outcomes to inform equitable policies and community action. Widely used by leaders including the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, San José City Councilmembers, and the Children’s Agenda Network, it tracks approximately 80 local indicators across four pillars: Every Child Healthy, Safe and Stable, Successful in Learning, and Thriving in Life. Using an equity-centered lens, the Data Book highlights trends and disparities across various intersections, providing a cradle-to-career picture of children's health. Released annually at the Santa Clara County Children’s Summit, the Data Book serves as a shared evidence base that informs CAN’s year-round collaborative work and helps guide Healthier Kids Foundation’s impact and countywide systems-change.
