Healthier Kids Foundation’s Community Outreach, Prevention, and Education (COPE) program identifies uninsured children and uses Case Managers to assist parents in enrolling their children into subsidized health coverage.
Our program is based on:
- Establishing and sustaining relationships with community-based organizations that serve low income families;
- Conducting training for agency staff on subsidized health coverage programs;
- Implementing effective, customized referral systems that support other agencies in their efforts to identify uninsured children and refer their parents to our staff to assist them with enrolling into health coverage; and
- Staffing community events to identify uninsured children.
