Rich Constantine, Council Member of the City of Morgan Hill, was elected to his first term on the council in November 2010. He is 46 years old and has lived in Morgan Hill for eight years. Rich came to the Bay Area to attend San Jose State University. While attending college, Rich never strayed far from his commitment to the community. He became a volunteer with the American Red Cross and was involved in many philanthropic projects. He also became a CPR instructor for the American Heart Association. Soon after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautics, Rich was hired as a firefighter for the San Jose Fire Department. He has participated on numerous committees charged with the task of improving working conditions. Rich was elected to the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 230 executive board as a shift representative, a position that he held for three years. That position allowed Rich to be an advocate for his fellow fire fighters and fight for safe working condition and defend the rights of the membership. Rich has demonstrated throughout his entire adult life a commitment to community service and will continues that legacy as a city council member.
