Dana has over 25 years of senior management experience in high technology environments, including: general management, engineering, quality, procurement and human resources. Professional experience has been dominated by opportunities to grow and develop profitable, well-managed business units providing vision and leadership, while managing the balance between strong customer focus and responsible financial performance. Senior Management experiences have included global responsibility for operations throughout Asia, Europe and North America.
Corporate career experience has included; 17 years in various engineering management roles with GE Nuclear, 17 years as Vice President with Applied Materials, 2-years as a contract executive and Vice President with Lam Research, 2-years as a contract executive and President with Tru-Si Technologies, and 15 years as President of Oak Valley Consulting.
Over the past 15 years Dana has been actively engaged in business consulting and executive coaching at the CEO level and below. This experience has often involved helping organizations to effectively articulate their strategic vision, mission and objectives as part of a formal strategic planning process. Over the past 8 years Mr. Ditmore has been a member of 4 different corporate boards of Directors, and currently sits on the board of one employee-owned company.
Dana’s experience also includes over 30 years experience participating as an active member of multiple not-for-profit boards of directors. In the area of STEM education, Dana was the Executive Director and board member for the Intel International Science & Engineering when hosted by the City of San Jose in 2001 and again in 2010. Dana is a member of the Board of Directors of the Synopsys Outreach Foundation which sponsors the annual Synopsys Championship – Silicon Valley Science & Engineering Fair, the finalists of which qualify each year to compete in the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair. Dana is prior member of the Board of Directors of the San Jose State University Research Foundation and is currently a member of the San Jose State University Tower Foundation Board of Directors, the Semiconductor Equipment & Materials Institute Foundation Board of Directors and the Santa Clara Family Health Foundation Board of Directors.
Dana obtained his BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley and is a graduate of the GE Advanced Engineering Program and a number of GE General Management Programs.
